it's me, scott.

tonight was a pretty good night.

first off, i drove downtown and watched the predators beat the blue jackets 3-2 at a funfun hockey game. heath has season tickets, but he is out of town visiting his little michelle, so he said i could use his ticket! he is such a nice boy. i had a lot of fun, and got a free flyswatter at the game, too!!

after that, i got home and hung up some laundry in my closet, and then i gathered a flashlight, and my sleeping bag, and i went back outside to my car and drove for about 45 minutes until the sky was dark enough that i couldn't see the horizon anymore, and took the first exit off the interstate i could find that didn't advertise a bajillion resturaunts and gas stations.

and then i drove for a little bit more, and parked my car on the side of the road, grabbed my sleeping bag, and walked into a field and layed down on the ground and stared up at the sky for about two hours! in case you didn't know, there was some big meteor shower tonight that was supposed to be the best one since 1966, and i thought "boy, i don't want to miss out on that!" when i heard it on the news.

and. okay. it was SO COOL.

i must have seen at least fifty little falling stars, and then there were ten or twelve REALLY BRIGHT ones!! they were so cool. a few of them even left blue streaks in the sky that stayed around ten minutes after the meteors had disappeared. it was about one hundred times better than any fireworks show i've ever seen!! the universe is so pretty.

i wanted to lay there all night (you'd think lying on a sleeping bag for two hours would be boring, but it WASN'T), but unfortunately i did not dress warm enough and i was freezing my butt off and shivering a lot, so i figured it was probably time to drive back home. and. here i am!

so yeah. meteor showers are so cool! and romantic! (or, well. i was by myself. uhh.) if you missed it... well, you suck!!

this was the best night i've had in a long long long time! hooray for wishing on stars.
