dear scott's diary,
when i was little, and my mom made potatoes, i always thought they were apples. (like, peeled potatoes.) and i always asked her if i could have a slice. and she would say:
"liza, this is a potato, not an apple."
and i always thought she was lying. and it was always a potato. not an apple.

ps. moral: if you are going to eat a potato (celine), make sure it's cooked! or, make sure it's an apple.
pps. did you know that in french, the word for potato means "apple of the earth?" potato = apple!
