dear internet,

it's me, scott. beep beep beep. christopher walken is my favorite robot!

man oh man do i love trivial pursuit! i drove all over town last night looking for the new millenium edition, and it is sold out everywhere!! but i settled for genus iv at toys r us and have been trying to convince everyone i know to play it with me ever since.

did you know that the process for extracting metal from ore is called 'smelting'? i did.

kittycat has been enjoying all of the new toys that she got for christmas. she woke me up last night playing with a little jingley ball that my mommy got for her. the night before, i woke up because she decided that she would like to sleep on my head. i obviously wasn't as comfortable sleeping this way as she was.

did you know which cartoonist was famous for creating complex machines for simple tasks? i do! it was rube goldberg. in physics one year, we had to make a rube goldberg machine to crack open an egg. josh and i made one, and it was the stupidest thing ever. instead of carefully cracking open the egg, it fell through a bunch of levers and just landed on the ground. haha. i think we got a b or a c on it.

i like cats!

the power went out at work this morning, and everybody's computers turned off. i was in the middle of writing an e-mail, and poof! my screen went black. bah! and our generators took about five minutes to kick in, so we were all just sitting in the dark for a while. i wonder if that is what y2k will be like?

speaking of, what sort of plans do you have for y2k? i think i am going downtown to see fireworks, and smitten girl is working making balloon animals, so of course i have to visit her! hopefully it will be a fun time. i don't really feel like drinking at all this new years, is that weird?

anyway, i think we're going to go finish our game of trivial pursuit now. wish me luck!

love,
scott.
